It seems there have been a fair few damsels in distress in the celeb world of late, and they have unwittingly found themselves a fairy godmother – in the form of online bingo sites! The recent news that Cheryl Cole, Kate Winslet and Sandra Bullock have all been facing break ups and marital strife seems to have hit the online bingo world hard – with some coming forward offering their services as matchmakers to the stars!
First up is Tasty Bingo, who have found their recent Tasty-est Man Promotion being hi-jacked by an online bingo portal. With the search for 12 hunky men to fill the Tasty Bingo calendar, it seems some have decided that Cheryl needs to get herself over to the Tasty Bingo Facebook page to find herself a full house in love. And it’s no surprise they would make such a link, with Cheryl recently claiming she wanted to find a real man with a pot belly after her spate of bad luck with Ashley Cole.
And it doesn’t end there – in the same week, news has reached us that Costa Bingo have also been using their Facebook page to get their loyal roomies views on who would be good replacements for Sam Mendes and Jesse James when it comes to filling the holes in Kate Winslet’s and Sandra Bullock’s hearts. Among the suggestions were Colin Firth, Matthew Horne and Leonardo Di Caprio for Winslet, and James Cordon, Jack Black and Sean Penn for Bullock.
Maybe it’s because spring is in the air, but it seems that online bingo fans are more than happy to start placing their suggestions for celebs looking for love – with one Costa Bingo roomie, Rebecca B offering a possible alternative, saying “Forget the men. They could just get together. I am sure they have had enough of them!”
The marketing manager of Costa Bingo, Debbi Gent said: “It’s very sad when any marriage breaks down but it does seem to happen in Hollywood rather a lot.”
“I’m thrilled that – once again – our loyal army of bingo fans has raised themselves to the challenge of finding new love for both Kate Winslet and Sandra Bullock.“ Gent even went as far as to help these damsels out by offering them accounts at the online bingo site, saying “They would be able to chat, enjoy some free bingo, and make some new friends. Who knows where it could lead. Perhaps, Costa Bingo will be Hollywood’s new matchmaker!”
Perhaps Gent has a point. Online bingo has been noted for it’s sociable tendencies, with more and more fans coming together over a few games of bingo to make new friends alongside winning some rather tasty prizes. Perhaps love is the next step – and who knows, if there is one thing that applies to both the world of celebrities and the world of online bingo, it’s that anything – and we mean anything – is possible!
