Seems like no-one can just be happy with their bingo wins at the moment, and as soon as that jackpot money is won, things can get ugly. A word of warning comes in the form of another cautionary bingo tale, this time involving two sisters who ended up brawling after a whopping £23k win at a bingo club.
The sisters, Sharon and Lisa, had gone out for a night at the bingo with their mother, travelling to their local Castle bingo club in Swansea. It seems like luck was on Sharon’s side for the evening, when she won big, scooping nearly £25,000. As she went to collect her cheque, Sharon proudly announced to the other players in the club that she would be devoting the bulk of her win to funding the fairytale wedding of her dreams.
It was at this point that things turned ugly for the squabbling siblings.
Her sister Lisa was not best pleased at Sharon’s intention for her prize money, and it sparked off a vicious brawl between the two as they fought over the fate of the money. Lisa was apparently annoyed that the money was going towards what she thought was a waste of time. Sharon on the other hand had different ideas, and the two began a bit of a sisterly argument, with both saying they had had a bit to drink.
When they sat down, Sharon apparently flew across the table and punched Lisa in the eye. Her mother intervened, trying to separate the two, locking Lisa outside the fire escape to cool down a little. But undeterred, Lisa came in through the front door of the bingo club, walking up to Sharon and punching her in the face as hard as she could. Eventually, police were called to separate the two.
Sharon has been quick to downplay the incident saying it was “just a little argument”, however, reports suggest the family is furious with Lisa’s behaviour and are not currently talking to her.
We’ll have to wait and see if Lisa will get an invite to Sharon’s dream wedding. Sister’s eh?! Seems like even a good game of bingo and a big jackpot win can’t stop them from having a fight about something.
