Gala Bingo has certainly known more successful years than 2009 – although they have born the storm with dignity and fairness throughout. In January Gala Coral signed a deal that looked set to put them back on track, onwards and hopefully upwards. Over the last 6 months Gala Bingo have dedicated a lot of their direction into the Gala Bingo TV Channel, bringing forth the celebrities and gossip (as well as the bingo of course) in fine style: It has become a huge hit with Gala members.
Things seem to be really looking up for them and their players with some hot promotions and a permanent Cash Climber cash pot always on offer. Now, there is even FREE bingo on Thursday nights at Gala Bingo TV! Without doubt, this operator has been pulling out all the stops of late to ensure they stay in the running (at least) and maybe even get a greater share of the market. And in this pursuit they have indeed invested much effort, time and money. All is looking brighter.
However, there may be a few clouds on the horizon for them because online game show company Amuso has got together with ‘Sweden’ and NYX Interactive AB – a leading gaming technology provider. As well as Cashball Ltd – an online gaming network operator. The Director Of Sales And Marketing at NYX Interactive Steve Cook stated, “The tie up between the three companies is very significant because, in partnership Amuso and NYX can deliver a strong portfolio of games and gaming products while Cashball Ltd will provide the operations and support.”
The trio’s grouped intention is to create a ‘trivia gaming network’ featuring online bingo and casino; as well as some major TV quiz show formats. Not such a dissimilar ‘game plan’ to Gala Bingo TV. Carl Stahle, Head Of International Operations at Cashball Ltd, said: “The combination of trivia, bingo and casino fits our target group perfectly and the variation of the entertainment will encourage people to spend more time playing.”
What will be known at the Cashball bingo network has been scheduled for launch around the first quarter of 2010. And it will be extremely interesting to see whether the knock on effect will be a head to head promotions war between the two operators. While that might not be such good news for Gala Bingo TV, it will certainly be good news for players. When the competition mounts, so do the promotions and bonuses… generally!
Amuso already has a notable share of UK gaming market – so these guys are no stranger to the going’s on of UK bingo players! Co-founder and CEO of Amuso, Barak Rabinowitz said: “We are thrilled to partner with NYX and Cashball Ltd to bring a fresh and compelling offering to the market. The NYX platform will enable us to lead the market for trivia gaming in the UK and beyond.”
Online bingo has become a multi-million pound industry. Combine this big winner with TV shows and it all becomes so much more. Without doubt this niche currently coveted by gala Bingo TV has great future potential and several deals have already been signed with some major TV companies – combining all that glitz and glamour has real appeal to players. After all, bingo players are there to put some excitement in their lives.
