A Gran has scooped £1million – in one of bingo’s biggest wins.

 

The 64-year old, who does not want to be named, said she “couldn’t stop shaking” when her numbers came up.

 

After scooping £1,023,353, she said “I am still trying to get my head round it. I’ve never been lucky – I’ve only ever won £10 or £20 in the past.

 

“I called my husband and said “I’ve won an awful lot of money” and put down the phone.

 

“I asked the staff to break the news to him very gently because he has a heart condition”

 

The gran – who has three grandchildren – won a national game at the local Gala bingo hall in Basildon, Essex, on Sunday.

Cleaner Soraya Lowell, from Hamilton, Glasgow, had the biggest bingo win of £1,167,795 in March.
